Walking Tour: Higashi Yuenchi park and the Old Foreign Settlement

Established in 1868 at the same time as the opening of Kobe Port, Kyoryuchi allowed foreigners to live and do business freely. Then, due to the revision of the Treaty, It was returned, it was called the“Old Foreign Settlement”. Now, we have arranged for a “Walking Tour of the Old Foreign Settlement” which hopefully would help you enjoy the cityscape with its exotic atmosphere.
You can intimately feel Kobe’s history through numerous historic sites and monuments scattered around the area.

This event will provide explanations in English using a wireless guide system.

The tour will be held as follows:

Applicants International students living in Hyogo prefecture or attending schools in Hyogo prefecture
Capasity 10 persons. first-come/first-served basis

PROGRAM All explanatons will be in English.
13:00 Assemble at JR Sannomiya Station (West exit) close to Hankyu Sannomiya Station (East exit )
13:15 Walk to Kobe City Hall 1st floor lobby. Start the walking tour
15:00 Walk to the conference room after the walking tour in Chinatown (coffee break)
Held an exchange meeting with volunteer guides (Kobe city guide with photos, etc.)
15:30 End of exchange meeting Dissolution
